Random lil things that make me melt.....

These beautiful body bars can be found on www.BelleAme.com its a family owned business, and the soaps and scrubs are all hand-made and very much affordable! The lip scrubs are amazing might I add and for only $9.95 its such a steal by itself! I hope you all get the chance to purchase some of these soaps and mousses and lip scrubs they smell so great and there just the lil things that really make you happy and they're so affordable and your pampering your body and giving your skin a wonderful treat!!

I really enjoy lil quotes like this, they give me a calming happiness and just melt my heart! It's such a cute quote from Too faced cosmetics. I purchased a single eye shadow called Vixen which is very popular! Inside of the box as I opened it this read: "Forget wall st. invest in make-up!" and it really made me smile, because I have always told my husband that my makeup is my investment so of course I had to keep this and leave it on my muji drawers so I can smile everyday when I look at this saying!! :)

Another  lil cute random thing that absolutely melts my heart are Orchids! They are beautiful and smell so good, and they really make any room stand out by brightening the room and giving a fresh clean feel. Might I add how easy Orchid's are to care for, if your like me and you weren't born with a green thumb then these are the plants for you! Basically little to no care are all these beautiful plants require, they need sunlight and a few ice cubes about twice a week or a little water depending on what your care instructions say. I have managed to keep my Orchid alive and well for more than a year now and it still looks as beautiful as it did the day I purchased it :)

I hope you all appreciate life's little pleasures and don't forget to take some time out of your busy day and reach out to the little things that make you happy. If it's reading a book for 10 minutes or lighting a candle or putting on your favorite lipstick or soaking in your bath with your favorite bath bomb just do it!!! You deserve it!!!!!!!

Does your makeup have a home? The latest storage must-haves....

Do you ever just feel like something's not right? You walk in your room and your makeup is scattered or un-organized or it just doesn't look pretty and make you feel content or make you feel like a princess, well if it doesn't you must consider different storage options for your makeup because all makeup should make you feel like a Living Princess!! I truly believe that if it works for you and makes you happy then its all worth it at the end of the day and it will make you feel your best :) so why not girls???!! Well today your in luck because I'm going to show you the latest must-haves and cheap inexpensive ways to revamp your makeup collection, and for the girls willing to spend some dough I will also show some pricey storage ideas and give us other girls some wish list ideas as well.

My makeup collection which is shown above, which I recently purchased this lovely acrylic 5 drawer system from www.mujiusa.com for $27.95 plus shipping and handling fees is the ultimate makeup storage system for avid makeup collectors, its sleek design and chic look make for a beautiful look and its unique storage makes this a very popular item. It holds more than 70 pieces of makeup and has 5 sleek long drawers holds more than you would expect it too. These nice acrylic systems also come in a variety of sizes ranging from 1 to 5 drawers and different models as well. These are very great because they are so inexpensive and in everyones price range. They are also stackable and require very minimal space which makes them in such high demand. One downfall is you must site stalk these acrylic drawers on occasion because they do have a tendency to be out of stock due to the high volume of orders. I've come to love these muji systems and would never go to anything else, even with a vanity they are simply stunning! I  feel like if your going to invest in any type of storage system or organization this is the ultimate investment. I had so much makeup and i had things in a tray and dividers to my amazement all of my makeup fit into one 5 drawer system!! I currently have ordered one more 5 drawer system to stack and add some makeup items im in need of. So if your really an avid collector or not this is the way to go :)

These are mesh organizers and are found everywhere from Target to drugstores or/and department stores and supercenters. I really like the simplicity of these organizers and they are great for a very small amount of makeup and they also work great for brushes as well, they have many uses and for the price tag you just cant go wrong with these organizers ranging from $4-$10 So if your looking for a simple yet stylish organizer pick one of these up today!! p.s. Target is your best bet :)

All I can say is this black butterfly holder is super affordable and adorable! You can find these types of designs on www.Ebay.com and www.Amazon.com ranging from $3-$12 They are great for nail polishes and false lashes. For those of you that need to store some extra items this will work great!! If you have lipsticks or lipglosses this will also work wonders, or for the simple natural girl you can store your makeup in here and be ready to go. I think this is also a good idea for storing you more used makeup products as well. The possibilites are just endless for these stylish containers so dont forget to get your hands on one! You will be grateful for this lil guy!!!

These popular 10 drawer systems can be found on www.thecontainerstore.com and www.Ikea.com and many other great websites and department stores. They are a little more pricey but they are the ultimate makeup storage holders, the only thing I can negatively say about these systems is you have to have the space for them, if you do not I would strongly suggest going another route because these will require some space. Ranging from $54-160 they are a great find!! Everything can be stored in here plus more, they are very feminine and trendy and come in all sorts of colors and designs. If you have a rather large makeup collection they are perfect, with 10 drawers you will be able to organize all your makeup and beauty supplies!!!! :)

GoodBye Loves and Hope you Enjoyed this

DIY Salt Scrub

You can buy salt scrubs for $30, or you can make your own salt scrubs at home for a fraction of the cost. Salt scrubs are one of the easiest home spa products to make and a great gift if you put it in a pretty jar. With this easy salt scrub recipe, you can exfoliate your skin at home instead of paying $90 or more for a salt glow at the spa. This salt scrub was a family recipe  and traditionally used by fishermen to help heal and soothe hands after a hard day’s work. This well kept fishermen's secret not only soothes hands but also rids pesky smells that may linger. Passed down for generations, this salt scrub recipe uses the power of nature to sooth and exfoliate leaving your skin feeling like silky smooth. So I am going to show you how to leave your hands and body smooth, rejuvenating and youthful. Most of these items should be in your home because they are very common household items so no need to make a extra trip to the supermarket, you may need to buy a Mason jar to seal in the freshness or any type of jar with a lid will do, or you can even use a bowl if you desire.

Epsom salt, table salt, sea salt or any kind of salt will due for this. After selecting your preferred salt choice place in a jar and fill with salt, leave some space for mixing.

Next choose Oil to mix with your salt, and again you can choose any type of oil ranging from Almond oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil, Peanut oil and you may even use vegetable oil. Just  stay away from Baby Oil because it will clog your pores and it has a lot of petroleum in it which you want to avoid.

Now for the fun part: Mix your salt and oil to make a thick consistency, you dont want to have too much oil in your scrub that will over power your salt so just add about a third of a cup of oil at a time to reach the consistency you want to achieve. Scrub should be a thick consistency with  the oil moisturized inside the salts without being too runny, you'll want it to be creamy and you'll want more salt to oil.

Next choose a scent to your scrub that suits your taste like: Peppermint, Orange, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Lavender. You can even use extracts like vanilla extract or teatree extract. After choosing your scent add about two teaspoons to your scrub and mix.

Place in your Jar and Enjoy!! For a extra pop decorate your Jar by adding sea shells or Ribbon or any creative ideas you may have!!

Here is the proper way to start using your salt scrub and reap the benefits it has to offer and get your spa treatments right at home for the fraction of the cost:
  1. Soak skin in warm bath or shower for a few minutes to open pores and soften the top layer of your skin
  2. Put body scrub on your palm and gently rub over your skin in a circular motion
  3. Rinse and don’t use any shower gel or soap – it is good to keep the oil and aromatics on your skin
  4. Apply your favorite body lotion and enjoy your exceptionally soft, glowing skin! You will feel pampered and relaxed.

Hope you all Enjoy this is easy to do DIY salt scrub!!! Bye Loves! :)

Love Yourself....why not?

I thought a lot about the words: Inner Beauty and what that meant to me. As a woman society has programmed our minds to believe we should be a size 0 and have a perfect symmetrical face, and have those perfect white teeth and have no flaws, but in reality life is quite different. Not all of us are born that way, you might have a more defined nose or crooked teeth or be a size 12, and that is by no means a bad thing we are all different and different looks and sizes, the focus is on loving yourself for you are and being able to look in the mirror everyday and be happy with you are and what you see. I went to the grocery store yesterday and I couldnt help but be disgusted with the magazine headlines I was seeing. Everything was focusing on these perfect supermodels and actresses, theres nothing out there on Glamour and Cosmopolitan that says be happy with yourself its not about loosing the weight but about getting healthy. I have seen some magazines talk about 'inner beauty" but when you put perfect models on the cover than what are you saying? why not put a plus size model on the cover and show women thats okay. I researched some definitions of what beauty was and came across this piece from Wikipedia: Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology, and culture. An "ideal beauty" is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection.[citation needed].

So is Beauty striking for perfection? Is that how we as women want to live our lives always feeling inhumanely not good enough for society .Perhaps one day we as a society can change our minds about the relevance of appearance, rather than feeling the need to change our bodies focusing on the need to love ourselves for who we are no matter what we look like :)

One of My Favorite Quotes “Happiness is the most attractive accessory a young woman can have.” If you have low self esteem or confidence issues the best thing you can do is look in front of the mirror everyday and just stand tall and say "im excepting of myself and happy with who I am" I've also found that writing on a post-it everyday three things you really admire about yourself will boost your self-esteem and see the great attributes you carry, and smile always smile even if you have to fake it until you make it as a good friend once told me DO IT!!  A smile is truly BEAUTIFUL as it is so radiating in a totally natural way so smile everyday and you will be surprised at how many people will see that hapiness come out of you. You will FEEL beautiful and your INNER Beauty will shine through, and as my grandma used to tell me: Be nice to everybody! Forgive! Forgiveness and compassion are the root of all good things. We all have the power to forgive a person, what they do to us personally and in letting go of past hurts, we let go of a powerful and negative hold that damages our inner beauty. Be ready to let go and think good of others. So ladies Be Graceful and Classy and Love Yourself Forever!!!!!!

Have you heard about baby lips?

If you haven't heard about these lip balms you have to try them, you really must!!! So what's all the hype about? Well the cool thing about the Maybelline baby lips is that they are super moisturizing and come in clear and tinted shades. They are a lot like the Revlon lip butters except they are a lip balm and a lot more subtle. I'm a killer for packaging and the packaging on these are super adorable and the best thing about theses lil guys is they are very affordable ranging from three to five dollars depending on where you buy them from. I'm crazy for peach kiss and pink punch.....but there are numerous shades and tints and they are all gorgeous shades and super cute packaging. Perfect for your handbag or makeup case, I even have these in my makeup collection for the days i dont want to wear lipglosses or lipsticks. So why not Find out what all the hype is about and get yours today :) Bye Loves!!

My Perfect Summer Look....Find yours and own it!! :)

I included a picture of my perfect summer look, so you guys could get an idea of what I like to wear and how I wear my look/hair, and to help complete your summer look. I am focusing a lot of my attentin on summer because i think between summer and winter they can be the harshest on your skin so its very vital that you find a makeup routine for summer and the winter months. In winter your skin can get dry and the cold can play a big part on dry skin, and in summer your skin can get oily and sweaty and break out, and if you live in a humid climate like I do your makeup just seems to wear off and you go from a fresh applied look to Raccoon eyes and looking dreadfully unpleasant to say the least.

So as you can see in my picture I am wearing very minimal makeup or at least it appears that way, I wanted to go for a healthy summer glow. I also wanted for the summer days to wear a makeup look that would be quick and easy and wouldnt require a lot of time or upkeep, and of course I wanted a light application but still wanted the coverage that my skin requires. I usually like to use at least three colors for my eye colors but with the summer I just wanted the easiest possible and wanted to still look done but not have to worry about going outside in the humid heat and regret my decisions in my makeup...so here is a quick step by step of what ive done to achieve my look:

1. First I moisturized my face and neck then I used a small measuring cup and mixed my Stila tinted moisturizer with my full coverage foundation Revlon color stay 300 Golden Beige to get the spf moisturizer and a nice coverage as well to my face. I then applied the two with a foundation brush blending very well and also stippling all over my face and neck.

2. To set the Foundation I used i.d. mineral veil by Bare Escentuals with a all over blush brush and then and I worked in my favorite bronzer Too Faced Pure Bronze with a bronzing brush on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose for a clean look. When using your bronzer be very careful because bronzers can be very pigmented causing streaks and lines so you'll want to blend it out as much as possible and build it up lightly.

3. Next I took one of my favorite blushes Desert Rose by NYX and I applied on the apples of my cheeks, and this blush is very pigmented so you'll want to blend well and build it up. It will make a nice rosy glow for your summer look, if you feel you over did your blush you can always take your setting powder and apply it on your blush area and it will make your blush softer and be less noticeable if you've over applied.

4. After I applied all of my face makeup I worked on my eyes, which I feel is the most important part of the look. I used one of my favorite shimmery cream eye shadows from the Maybelline Color Tattoos in Bad to the Bronze and applied all over my lid area, however I did not use an eye primer since this eyeshadow is notorious for its long wear and since were focusing on light makeup there is no need for eye primer with this look and these cream shadows. The Bad to the Bronze is so beautiful by itself so there is really no need to add a crease color or any blending colors it will work great for a light summer makeup look.

5. Time for mascara and any lengthening mascara will work, after the mascara i used a brown eyeliner which is not as harsh as a black eyeliner and gives you a more natural polished look. I also did not bring the eyeliner all the way to my inner water line area, I lined my water line only on the outter water line area with the brown liner, this makes for a more natural eye look. Then after applying my liner I used a Black liquid liner and lined my upper lids and winged them out just a bit so my look would be as natural as possible but i still wanted the upper liner to cause the effect of a big beautiful eye.

6. last but not least I used a Neutral lipstick and I opted for a nude color Soft Nude from Revlon Colorburst lipstick this makes for a beautiful summer look that gives you a vibrant glow and focuses on your radiant skin and shimmery eyes.

So I hope you like my summer look and when creating your summer look, dont worry about rushing to get more makeup just work with what you have in your collection and try new things, as I have said before neutral lipsticks work best for summer and shimmery eye shadows are great for summer. I recommend the Maybelline Color Tattoos because a lot of the colors are great on they're own like: tough as taupe and Bad to the bronze. Also invest in a good tinted moisturizer with spf because this is going to have everything you need in it with a light coverage as well. If you want to go very natural as possible line your upper lids and apply mascara and a tinted moisturizer :) you will look gorgeous and hopefully having a great summer!! Remember just play with your makeup and colors and  always choose what works best for your skin tone and what you like.

Now unto the hair: This is EASY I opted for a natural hair look, because it gets very humid in the Midwest your hair can get very dry and freezy and with my hair in the summer I would straighten and spend the time on it and then a few hrs later my hair would look the same, So I like to work in John Freida Secret Weapon on my dry hair and toussle my hair for the natural waves my hair has. I then work in my Kenra shine spray and then I can sport it down and tie a flower in it, or use a head band, or do a pretty side braid or french braid. Today I did a pretty side braid. You can also Braid a smalll piece of your hair and its a very pretty look. So there are so much options for your natural hair as well, So have fun with it and then go out there with confidence and dont forget to smile :) :) Goodbye Loves xoxo
