My Beauty Favorites of April!!

Can you believe how fast the months are  flying by we are almost into June now and Summer will be here before you know it. So I wanted to share my April beauty favorites ranging from beauty products  to fashion accessories, as well as some great Summer tips to get your Summer started right!

I absoutely love these duo eyeshadows from mac, they are stunning and they are so rich and the pigmentation is amazing, the colors are gorgeous ranging from neutrals to bright vivid hues. You can't go wrong with this mac duo eyeshadow the colors are great and with Summer right around the corner they are very popular for their quick application. You can use one color for a lid color and another can be blended into your crease area. If you decide to go with a neutral shadow you can use the lighter color as a highlighting color. i love these because of the fast application lid and crease is all you need and you will have a stunning eye look to boot! These DSW Ballet Flats are a great choice for Spring and Summer. They are  so light and airy and might I add comfortable as well. You can pair these with just about any outfit from leggings to dresses to jeans, if you want to go from day to night just change out your flats and into a great pair of heels laying around. There are so many styles for flats you can purchase a pair with a slight heel on it. The possibilities are endless with the great styles these flats come in. Whatever your style is these flats will meet your needs, you can get a nautical style for that preppy look or a flat with a foral design for a more feminine look or a rhinestone flat for a more edgy look. So whatever pair you choose your bound to look amazing, and I absolutely love my flats because they are so comforting and with small children they are a must and they are a great trend right now so you cant go wrong with a shoe like this.

My Loreal leGloss is honestly the best drug store gloss I have ever purchased. I picked up two flavors one for my makeup collection and one to store in my handbag for quick touchups. I really love these glosses  because they have a great scent to them and their not sticky and the color is amazing as well as the shine and staying power. For $6 you are getting a steal!! You will look so gorgeous and with Summer coming up shiny glosses are a ultimate sexy look, with that healthy glow and tan and beautiful glossy lips your going to look stunning!!

My Naked palette from Urban Decay is one of my Holy Grail of makeup products. The colors are so great and there are endless looks with this twelve color palette. The shadows itself really do deliver a big punch! The shadows are so rich and pigmented and also so creamy with little to no fall out. There is virtually no color fall out and the staying power is amazing. Also included in this twelve color palette is the Urban Decay Eye Primer potion which is Urban decay's number one selling product. It keeps your shadows from creasing and makes the colors more vivid and this small travel size will last you a very long time since it only requires such a small amount so you will have it for awhile before you will need to repurchase another. This is such a universal palette and is great for any season and any occasion.

I recently just purchased this Mac 217 blending brush after reading great reviews from www.makeupalley.com and I can honestly say this is the best blending brush money can buy. For around $22 which can be quite pricey for most people this blending brush will last you for years and is an awesome brush for quick eye looks or more detailed eye looks. I think for starters this would be a great brush to purchase as well. Its going to make blending super easy just brush into a window washing motion and the brush is going to do all the work for you. The brush is great for shading and blending of colour or creamy products. This brush has fine, densely packed fibers that are arranged in an oval shape. M·A·C professional brushes are hand-sculpted and assembled using the finest quality materials so your going to get the best quality in a brush, and this brush will definitely suffice!! It's a great investment that will last for years and you will be so thankful when doing your makeup with this brush. You can also get creative and use this brush to apply concealer as well.

I just purchased this Essie nail polish as well and its one of my favorite beauty picks for the month of April. Essie's Mint candy apple is an amazing color and is so on trend right now. These colors are selling out everywhere and they make a beautiful nail look for Spring and Summer and go with any outfit, and will make you look so trendy and stylish. The color is a light pastel blue, and pastels and neons are so popular right now so dont forget to pick up this beautiful rich nail color.

If your reading fashion magazines like I am you have probably seen how popular these neckalaces are right now, and its called the sideways cross neckalace. When I first saw this type of jewelry I really liked it because it was so different then the typical jewelry piece I usually find. For the Mothers: Pampering yourself this Mother's Day!!

Mother's Day is right around the corner, and as most of us can say its one of our favorite holidays. The husbands treat us extra special and send flowers and perfume, the kids make sweet little cards for us or make something crafty you cant help but smile at, and breakfast in bed is served for alot of us. So its always a fun day filled with lots of memories, hugs and happy faces, but when you think about Mother's Day and what it means and the tradition of giving that mother something special or doing something special to show her you appreciate her and all that she does as a mother I think we as moms deserve something special like this not just on a yearly basis but more then that the job of a mother is never ending and its a huge title to have. We do so much for our families and for the jobs that we go to everyday and so much of us is sacrificed for the people that we love. I truly believe that pampering yourself is so important and it should be done at least once a week. If you dont think you have the time or your just way too busy, just try it at least for Mother's Day go ahead and follow these fun quick ideas and tips and play some music, light candles and put the kids to bed, have a glass of wine and give yourself that much needed pampering you deserve!!

The definition of Pampering is:To treat with excessive indulgence. That is exactly what we want to do when pampering ourselves is indulge ourselves with the things  that we love, giving ourselves that treat we normally dont give ourselves on a daily basis. The night before Mother's Day just go ahead and put the kids to sleep and give yourself one hour to do these wonderful things for yourself and you will feel Amazing afterwards. Most of us cant do these things very often, so I urge all of you to  make time for pampering at least on Mother's Day. I pamper myself on a weekly basis which I normally do on Sunday nights and it really gives me a sense of self and its just great time I give myself and we all deserve this and your body will truly thank you later.

On Sunday nights I begin my pampering ritual around 9pm after my son is in bed. First I begin with a hot bath and I light a couple of tea candles for the relaxation and sip on a cup of hot green tea which is full of plenty of antioxidants and is a nice treat to your body. After I soak and enjoy my hot bath I indulge my skin by applying my favorite lotion (cetaphil) all over my body, then taking a warm pair of fuzzy socks I mix a couple dime size amounts of vaseline and my lotion together and rub all over my feet which helps add moisture back in my feet and will help any dry areas or blisters. Since we are on the go most the time it is very important to take good care of your feet.

For my hair I like to give it a nice conditioning treatment and put that shine back into my hair. So after I get out of the shower while my hair is still damp I apply a leave in conditioner which is going to help detangle your hair and help manage any frizz  and condition your hair and leave it healthy. My choice is Bumble and Bumble for $23 and remember its just a weekly treatment so dont be scared of the price tag it will last a long time and it is a great tool for your hair so it really is a good investment. After you apply your leave in conditioner you can let your hair air dry and enjoy that time off from Blow drying :)

Now for the Facials, because whats pampering without a facial? I like to switch up with my facials since after you use a product for too long it can start to loose its potency so I like to mix it up between a chocolate mask and avocado mask and they both smell amazing and you can purchase them for around $2 at any walmart or target in the Beauty section. So depending on the directions of the facial mask you purchase it's usually very easy you would apply your mask and let it sit for around 10-15 minutes then wash your face off with warm water and enjoy how glowing your face looks afterwards.

After my wonderful facial I like to give my Hands a nice manicure which takes around 30 minutes. I just file down my nails to the length and shape I desire then apply a nail whitener from nail polish staining, then apply a Base coat to my nails, after those steps are done I take my nailene skinny french tip pen which can be purchased at any drug store for around $4 and you can also purchase the nailene guides if you dont have a steady hand. I apply a thin white line to the tips of my nails for that beautiful manicure look. You would apply a shiny yop coat which would prevent chipping and give your nails that gorgeous shine as well, and then your hands are going to look amazing, and if you'd like to take it up a notch you can apply nail art stickers as well.

Last but not least for Pampering I like to get dressed and wear some cozy jammies and treat myself to my favorite box of chocolates and watch one of my favorite movies like the Notebook, Pearl harbor, Its a wonderful life, Message in a Bottle, Sleapless in seattle and many many more. Spring-The Happy little things!!!

If your like me you get the simplest pleasures from the smallest  purchases  like a lotion that has the nicest smell or a lip gloss that makes your lips looks so pretty and has a lucious scent that really makes you smile or a beaded bracelet that just catches your eye. The perfect spring day for me would be taking a walk with my son through the park taking in the fresh air, then doing some shopping to find those perfect items that are really going to put a smile on my face, it could be a keychain or a bracelet.... So I've put together some of those little treasures that really make me happy and are great items to use for spring as well.  When I go to the store  to pick up a Beauty magazine to read it makes me feel so nice and feminine. You just can't go wrong buying a fashion magazine in the store. It's such a nice feeling and so relaxing reading your favorite fashion and beauty magazines. There are so many options to relax with your favorite magazine, you can read in the bath while you are soaking in your favorite bath salts or lay out and tan, you can be getting a pedicure. No matter what your doing it's such a fun little pleasure plus your catching up on all the latest fashions and trends, and its just very enjoyable!

I purchased this beautiful ring from www.Etsy.com with a ultra steal price tag of $14  it really is so much fun purchasing items online, you get to shop in the comfort of your own home and it can be so relaxing. For me I love the thrill of waiting for my item to come, then when it comes you get this package in the mail and it just makes it all more fun to open up the package and get excited about what you bought. It's a really nice fun way to shop and look for great deals! The reason why I chose Etsy is because everything is handmade and I feel like the craftmanship really shows in the items and the shop owners are generally very passionate about the products they make and alot of time is invested to insure each piece is perfect. it's so much more personal then getting something that was made out of a factory overseas. I bough a few stacking hammered silver rings off of the Etsy website and they're the best quality. They never tarnished, or turned my finger green or anything like that. They look as nice as the first day I recieved them and the prices are beyond fair so it's a great way to feel nice and have a great piece to wear. 

No matter what kind of woman it is, most women enjoy candles. Candles are very zen like, and put a warm feeling into any room and not to mention smell amazing. Candles are definitely one of my greatest joys, they are great by the bath tub or when I'm reading a book and they are great on my desk when I'm working. So if you want to put a little happiness in your life go get some scented candles and enjoy their presence.

  Decorated photo frames are always one of my favorite pleasures, Because they are something you can keep forever and everytime you enter a room with your families smiling faces it's a great joy. There are also so many Do It Yourself fun ways to make photo frames with your family like decorating and painting frames and putting stickers on them that makes a really fun activity for children. So if your interested in spicing up a room or re-vamping it add some  decorated photo frames, involve your kids and it will be a cherished memory. You'll love looking at your photo frames and its a priceless happiness!!

 A Great Lipstick is a must!!! It really makes me feel so happy and sexy as well. I think as women we work so hard on a daily basis with work, kids and managing our homes so all of us deserve to splurge on occasion. I just felt like I have alot to say right now, I just turned 27 a couple days ago and with that I thought alot about who I was as a person and what kind of mark I wanted to leave in life and for my child, what acomplishments I wanted for myself. I thought about the future, and about my past. I feel like the past is a learning tool for us, it can compromise our future. So I just sat in on my couch thinking about every hardship and every tear I shed as a young adult and my adolescence. I just kept thinking if I could only control my emotions and be diligent, strong, and independent.

I want to teach my child not to give up, to believe in himself, to have dreams and have a passion for life! No matter if people think its silly or not important it is important. So many people loose themselves. As adults We  forget what those dreams, we forget in second chances.
So how do we overcome all of these little hurdles that got us where we are today? The answer is inside you, you just have to find it. Appreciate all you have and have a general happiness for life. Don't be negative and never let one little dissapoint define you or stop you from your goal.

I can say this now because I am 27 years old, and all of my life I have let people walk on me, and I have been afraid to fight for what I want, I've listened to wrong opinions and fell in love with the wrong guys. Thinking with my heart and not my brain caused me alot of lost time I cant get back. I didn't realize how little my problems were and how easy they were to fix.

I read a book by Randy pausch called 'The Last Lecture' and it changed my life! I realized so many things about life and I gained wisdom from a man who was so intelligent and driven!!! It made me think about so many things I never even thought about, what if my life was cut short? We get so consumed by things that shouldnt matter but they do, we forget the joy of life and what it is. The truth is there is no tomorrow, its not guranteed. It isn't guranteed and I cant stress this enough so quit saying you can't do it, and go for it!!! Do what makes you thrive....I believe in myself now. Do you?

Sally's Beauty supply...My top nail picks!!

Summer is right around the corner and beautiful nails are a must! So I went to Sally's Beauty Supply Store to pick up some hair and nail care products. If you have never shopped inside this store, you really must go. It really is unlike any other store, and typically Wal-mart or Target doesn't carry the products that beauty stores like sally's carries. You will find premium hot tools at beauty stores and better hair care products that most stores dont carry, also it's a indepth store just for beauty needs so anything you need will be there, If you need to dye your hair, or need a good hot tool, or better hair care products or nail products go to a beauty store like Sally's or Beauty First.

I wanted to share some of the nail care products I got at  Sally's Beauty Supply because I really feel like the items I purchased are a must have for any woman who typically paints her nails all the time, or even just needs some basic prepping for her nails. You dont have to buy the brands that I purchased of course, but I  always like to research a product before I go out and buy it, and I have heard great reviews about most of the products I purchased so these really are great choices. If your looking for an alternative and you dont have a Beauty Store in your town, you can go to your local Wal-mart or Target and find similar items.

I purchased this nail whitener which removes hard stains on the nails from polish stains, food, and smoke. The Brand is called asp (all seasons professional) and it comes with a small tube of whitener and a brush to scrub your nails with the product. It is really easy to use, all you do is put the tube of whitener on the brush or your nails and scrub your nails with the brush, then wash off and repeat if necessary. This is a very good product, especially if your not using a base coat when you are painting your nails or you are a smoker it will help get that natural whiteness back in your nails and leave them looking healthy. So this was the perfect choice for me since I wasn't using a base coat...Happy to say I bought a better base coat and will now never skip this important step none the less.

The Second item I purchased for my nail must have's was this Hoofer's Shield top Coat. This top coat has really good reviews and sells for only $3.99 which is a very good price for the great reviews this top coat gets. Top coats are very important to insure your nails get that high gloss finish and shine, and helps to insure your nail polish doesn't chip and last as long as possible. This is a very important step not to forget, it is going to make your polish look stunning and give it that shine you get at a salon. Even if I do not apply polish and I just want that fresh manicure look I will file my nails and apply a top coat just for the shine, and it makes my nails look flawless.

The third item is this Palladio Base Coat. I would strongly suggest getting this product and not forgetting to use it because your nails will stain like mine did and you'll need to purchase a whitener or lay off any polishes for awhile to remove the staining. If you apply any nail polishes it is truely important to purchase a base coat  because it is going to protect your natural nails from the polish staining and the harsh chemicals from the polish.

Of course we can't forget a nail file for our Nail Must-Haves! This is a Cupcake nail file which can be purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply Store.  It's just a fun file and makes filing your nails a little more interesting, but really of course any file will do just so long as your nails are trimmed and filed down to the correct length and shape your desire. Your nails will look Stunning once they are whitened, and you file and apply your base coat, apply your polish and top coat!! So go ahead and show them off and pick some fun Spring and Summer colors to add to your nail collection and wear with Confidence!!!!!

This picture is of a Easter decoration and it's a gorgeous Easter wreath. I absolutely love the colors and the eggs are so fun! I found this on www.Ebay.com for $149.00 yes its expensive I know right!! So with my creativity and my love for crafts I headed to the craft store and decided to make my own......So this is in the works, and I will post pictures of my Easter wreath and post a DIY video. You can always do some online shopping as well and find similar items that are not so expensive.

I purchased this adorable little plush bunny on www.orientaltrading.com for $6.00. It is so soft and it makes for a great gift. What women does not love soft bunnies for Easter? It's very inexpensive and will put a nice touch in your office or livingroom sofas.

I was so inspired by Easter that I decided to do a Easter egg nail look!! This look was so simple and easy to do. I used three nail colors, and I cut the cotton swabs off two Q-tips and used as my nail tool. I painted my nails randomly with the three colors, I then grabbed two napkins and folded them over and put a few drops of the blue and pink polish on them, I then used my nail tool and made little dots all over my nails and alternated with the colors. The whole process took about 30 minutes which was mostly drying time. I had to let the nails dry after first coat, after design, then after top coat. You can make all sorts of designs and colors. So just have fun with it!!! :)
